All the best for the apps that you all are building. Idea Checkpoint date has passed and we got a lot of entries. Our team went through each of them and gave detailed feedback to each entry. The ideas have been exciting. Cant wait for the next check point 🙂

We have been getting this query quite a lot these days. Now that the “Idea Checkpoint” dates are passed, a lot of people are having doubts if the registrations are closed. So here putting to rest those concerns:

The registrations for Adobe riathon ’08 [link] are open till the night of 13th January, 2009. You can register anytime. The checkpoints are optional and for people who want to leverage our feedback and want to have a chance to win some Adobe branded merchandise..

Hope that was clear 🙂 If you have any more queries, mail to riaevent@adobe.com. We will post answers to queries that reccur, for the good of all…

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and All the Best !

Tour de Flex is a desktop application for exploring Flex capabilities and resources, including the core Flex components, Adobe AIR and data integration, as well as a variety of third-party components, effects, skins, and more.

It can be a great help during riathon ’08 as it has readily available sample code to connect to a lot of cloud services including Flickr, Amazon, lastFm…etc. Don’t forget to checkout the CloudAPIs, Mapping and Other Components section on the app. There’s even a Tour de Flex Eclipse Plugin…

In the format, we have introduced some changes that will help make the contest more interesting and gives you a chance to win more prizes. One such addition is CheckPoints.

Checkpoint – a place where travelers stop for inspection and clearance

There are 2 checkpoints in Adobe riathon ’08.

As you might be aware, the Adobe riathon ’08 final judgment and prize distribution was postponed from November 29th, 2008 due to the Mumbai terror attacks. In the wake of such an unfortunate incident, we thought it was best to not have any kind of celebration or gala function. So we postponed the event and also decided to provide more time for contestants to develop their applications. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Continue Reading »
